Transport UK Proud to Support Rail Partners with Ukraine

Transport UK is proud to have attended Rail Partners with Ukraine, in support of a campaign to provide food packages for Ukrainian railway workers and their families.

Rail Partners partnered with The Global Ukraine Rail Task Force, set up in response to the Russian invasion to support Ukrainian Railways, to recognise the workers who have been keeping Ukrainian freight and passenger rail services running throughout the Russian Invasion despite critical damage to the network.

Ukrainian Railways has not only provided safe passage to injured and displaced people during the conflict, but it has also transported military equipment, cargo, civilian freight, and food shipments across the country.

Dominic Booth, CEO of Transport UK, expressed his admiration for Ukrainian Railways:

“Having spent my entire career navigating the challenges of running the railway in peacetime, it is truly inspiring to see how Ukrainian Railways has continued to operate throughout the war – providing essential infrastructure to support the war effort. "

Rail Partners with Ukraine hosted a conference in Westminster alongside a photography exhibition to raise awareness of the difficulties being faced by those working to keep Ukraine’s rail infrastructure alive.
