Fraud, Bribery and Corruption Risk Policy Statement
Transport UK is committed to fair and ethical business practices in line with our core values and behaviours.
We adopt a “zero-tolerance” approach to corrupt practices including bribery and fraud, across all businesses within the Transport UK group. We are committed to ensuring that bribery, corruption and fraud risks are identified and managed proactively.
Examples of this include:
• internal policies covering Fraud Prevention, Anti-Bribery, Whistleblowing and our colleague Code of Conduct
• our Fraud Response Plan
• our training programme to ensure our colleagues understand relevant legislation including the Bribery Act 2010.
We expect the same from all those we work with, including business partners, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and third-party representatives working on our behalf.
The following Key Principles guide our policies and procedures across the TUK Group.
Zero tolerance: Fraudulent or corrupt practices of any kind, including the giving or receiving of a bride, will not be tolerated.
Integrity: Through their conduct and leadership, directors and managers will promote a culture of honesty and integrity.
Shared responsibility: All individuals share the responsibility to be alert to the signs of fraud, and to report any suspected fraudulent behaviour.
Prevention and response: We are committed to the prevention, detection and proper investigation of bribery, fraud and corrupt practices.
Risk assessment: We aim to identify, assess and put in place effective controls to mitigate risks related to fraud, bribery and corruption.
Gifts & hospitality: Individuals shall not accept, solicit or give (directly or indirectly) any improper gift or hospitality.
Third Parties: We expect our business partners to uphold similar principles for fraud risk management.
Books & records: We keep proper books and records which fairly and accurately reflect the transactions, acquisitions and disposals of assets relating to our business.
Political impartiality: TUK Group is impartial with respect to party politics and will not contribute funds to any political party, politician, or candidate for public office.
